We are a family-run master thatching business based in Templecombe, proudly serving clients across Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire. As a father-and-sons team, we are dedicated to preserving one of Britain’s most recognisable and time-honoured crafts while delivering a reliable and professional thatching service you can trust throughout Dorset and the surrounding areas.
Thatching has been at the centre of our working lives for many years. With experience dating back to 1987, and the next generation joining the business in 2020, we bring together decades of hands-on knowledge with a shared commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail. This is more than just a trade to us. It is something we take genuine pride in, and we approach every project with care, respect and a strong sense of responsibility to the craft.
As an experienced master thatcher working across Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire, we specialise in both Water Reed thatching and Wheat Reed thatching, helping to preserve traditional roofing methods for future generations.
We offer a full range of thatching services to suit all requirements. Whether you need a small repair or a complete re-roof, we are here to help. Our services include:
Full re-thatching

Alongside our work, we also supply high-quality thatching reed supplies, ensuring you have everything you need to maintain and protect your roof.
Over the years, we have built a strong reputation for reliability and high standards, earning the trust of homeowners and heritage property owners alike. Much of our work comes through recommendation, which we believe reflects the care and consistency we bring to every job.
